This is Latest Playstation Video Games News Regarding Resident Evil 4 Remake Targets 2023 Launch After Development Reboot, Says New Report

Resident Evil 4 Remake

The Resident Evil 4 Remake has undergone a bit of a development reboot following a clash in direction, according to Video Games Chronicle. The site reports that Resident Evil 3 team M-Two has had its role dramatically reduced as Capcom Division One takes over production of the title, which according to VGC’s sources, could push it back as far as 2023. The two studio’s have been unable to agree on a direction for the remake of what many consider to be the greatest Resident Evil entry.

Following the backlash to last year’s Resident Evil 3 remake, M-Two supposedly wanted to create a very faithful remake that sticks to the template of Resident Evil 4. Capcom, meanwhile, wants to the remake to introduce unique takes on those original features, story beats, and environments. Essentially, the developer wants to expand on what it already has rather than sticking to what it knows. “Sources said that the Resident Evil 4 Remake would now be partially rebooted under the new mandate, which could see its release delayed by as much as a year to 2023.” Capcom Division One is the team behind the mainline Resident Evil and Devil May Cry titles, so should this report prove to be true, it’s in even safer hands than ever before.

How do you react to this, however? Do you prefer M-Two’s approach of faithfully remaking Resident Evil 4 or are you happy that Capcom now plans to expand the experience beyond what we’ve already come to know and love? Share your thoughts in the comments below.
