Browse Latest Playstation Video Games News Regarding EA Establishes New Studio to Make Next Skate Game
The next Skate game, confirmed to be a thing during EA’s digital event last summer, is a very long ways off — so much so that the publisher has only just announced it’s putting together an entirely new studio to make it. The Vancouver-based Full Circle will lead development on the title, joined by Deran Chung, Cuz Parry, and Daniel McCulloch. Creative pair Chung and Parry are said to be stoked about working on the IP once again before cracking a joke based on the studio’s name. “Some would say things have come full circle.”
The team now turns its attention to staffing up and hiring for positions that include artists, designers, and engineers, with more to be made available throughout the year. The aforementioned McCulloch said: “We’re all about having fun and making great games that people want to play with their friends. And, we’re looking for more developers to help us build compelling worlds for players to explore.”
This announcement follows in the footsteps of the recent Star Wars game reveal from Ubisoft and IO Interactive’s Project 007, which are two titles also in very early development. It’s all about generating excitement and making the company a compelling place to be employed at. Skate is still years away, but we’ll be sure to bring you more information as and when it is released.
